We warmed up the milk throughout the day in the slow cooker. Diane kindly went out and bought hot chocolate from Chapter 1 for all of us!   These past few weeks we have been doing samba. On Tuesday we will be recording our samba performance while wearing Christmas jumpers. We've really been enjoying samba so far!   We have been working on cards for Castlemanor for a few days now and on Tuesday we sent them off. We'e wrote a little message in the card wishing them a safe and happy Christmas!   On the 22nd Santa will be visiting the school. All the classes will get a visit from Santa. We're all so excited!!   On Monday we watched a live stream of a Christmas Mass. Fr Peter said t

Drawing Classes with an animation artist

We did animation drawing with Grace Hynes for four weeks .She is an animation artist. We used three differen drawing pencils and a sketch pad for drawing.   On the first week we drew a squirrel.  On the second week we drew a   deer.  On the third week we drew a fox.  Last week was the last week we had drawing with Grace and we drew a winter wonderland. In the drawing we drew, there was a fox, squirrel, deer, trees and snowflakes. At the start of each lesson she did warm up lessons, in those warm up lessons we did other handed, drawing without looking, drawing upside down and shading. It was really fun! Here are some of our favourite sketches. By Gary, Mia, Daniel and Kelly

Christmas cards for Castlemanor Nursing Home

Christmas cards for Castlemanor Nursing Home   This December of 2020 we couldn’t go sing for Castlemanor so instead we made cool Christmas cards and sent them to Castlemanor Nursing Home. We are sad that we could not go and sing Christmas songs for them, but what can do about covid-19. Hopefully when 5 th class go into 6 th next year they will be able to go and sing for Castlemanor, play beautiful music for them and give them cards and lovely artwork. Anyway, the cards we made were beautiful some people made 3-D cards, some made cards with bobbles on them and some even made nativity cards. So we hope the get to Castlemanor safely and the resident like them and have a happy Christmas.     Written by Angelena and Caleb

2000 Dojo Points Hot Chocolate Party

Hot Chocolate Party After getting 2000 dojos as a class, we were rewarded a hot chocolate party. We all brought in mugs and our teachers provided Butlers Hot Chocolate, cookies, candy canes, marshmallows and Mrs Prior gave all the students in Killygarry snowballs. Ms Brolan and Diane slow cooked milk from 10:00- 13:30. Our teachers poured the milk as we stirred round our chocolate pieces. We watched the Grinch and decorated the classroom. On the day of the party, we were all wearing our blue clothes for Blue Day. We also donated €2 for Make a Wish Charity. We enjoyed our Hot Chocolate Party and we all would like to thank Ms Brolan and Diane for their kindness and generosity.   - Aoibhinn and Benas
